For me, music is not only a profession but also a form of cultural and spiritual expression. My daily work allows me to uphold Armenian classical traditions, support the growth of young musicians, and engage deeply with the spiritual and historical identity of my people through sacred music.

Katarine Hovsepyan was born on 4th January 1983 in Yerevan, Armenia.

From 1989-1999, she studied at Basic School №74 named after Hunan Avetisyan, while also studying piano at the Music School named after Armen Tigranyan (1989-1996).

In 1996, she continued her education, entering the Tchaikovsky Music School (piano section).

After graduating from school in 1996, she entered the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, where she studied piano performance until 2004. During the same period (2000–2004), she also took optional courses in organ performance, which became a meaningful addition to her artistic development. From 2004 to 2006, she pursued postgraduate studies at the Conservatory, specializing further in piano.

Later, she earned a Master’s degree of arts in the faculty of History from Yerevan State University in 2020–2022.

From 1996 to 2012, she served as the organist of Surb Khach Church of the Araratian Pontifical Diocese.

Since 2004, she has been working at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory as an accompanist for both wind and vocal departments, as well as a training assistant.

She has also served as an accompanist at the Sayat-Nova Music School since 2004 and at the Stepan Jrbashyan Music School from 2011-2022, collaborating with wind instrument students and choirs.

In 2012, Katarine Hovsepyan joined the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin as an accompanist and music lecturer at the Gevorkian Theological Seminary till now. Since 2022, she has been working at the Komitas Museum-Institute as the Head of the Concert Department. Also, since 2022, she has served as the coordinator of the state educational-cultural program of the Armenian State “School Philharmonia”.

Throughout her career, she participated in various international festivals and competitions. Among them are the “Return” International Festival of Classical Music and the “Komitas” International Competition in Berlin (2014), where she took third place in piano performance and received a special prize as “The Best Accompanist”.

In 2025, she participated in the International Festival “World Music”, which took place in Turkmenistan. Masterclasses: Zurich (2017), Zagreb Music Academy (2024 & 2025), Milan (2025).
