Anna Saradjian is an acclaimed pianist whose artistry has captivated audiences around the world. A musician of rare depth and talent, she has earned a reputation for her exceptional performances and numerous prestigious awards, including the coveted Gold Medal at the 1992 «Amadeus» National Competition and the esteemed Bach Prize from the Ettlingen International Competition.
Born into a rich musical legacy, Anna’s musical journey was shaped from an early age by the influence of her grandfather, Georgy Sarajev, a distinguished pianist and composer who played a pivotal role in the creation of the Armenian piano school. Further enriched by the guidance of her father, Prof. Sergey Sarajian, Anna’s education was a profound immersion in the world of classical music.
In 1995, Anna’s exceptional promise was recognized with a scholarship to study at the Juilliard School in New York, where she worked under the tutelage of Oxana Yablonskaya. During her time there, she made an unforgettable debut at Carnegie Hall, marking the beginning of her rise to international prominence.
Upon completing her Bachelor’s degree in 1999, Anna continued her musical education at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where she studied under the renowned Hamish Milne. Her exceptional performance abilities were honored with the prestigious Dip RAM diploma in 2002, solidifying her place among the world’s finest pianists.
Over the years, Anna has performed at some of the world’s most iconic concert halls, including the South Bank Centre, Wigmore Hall, and Place des Arts, enchanting audiences in countries across Europe, North America, and beyond. From France and Italy to Armenia and South Africa, her performances have been celebrated for their emotional depth and technical brilliance.
She has been featured on Armenian National Radio and Television, as well as BBC Radio 3, sharing her music with listeners around the globe.
But Anna’s contributions extend far beyond the concert stage. A passionate educator and advocate for music, she has been a regular guest artist and faculty member at prestigious music festivals, including the Nantucket Summer Concert Series in Boston, the Semper International Music Festival in Italy, the Aragats International Music Festival in Armenia, and the Montréal Bach Festival.
Her interpretation of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3 in C minor and Brahms’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in D minor with the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra has garnered widespread acclaim for its expressive power and precision.
In addition to her solo career, Anna is a devoted chamber musician, collaborating with some of the finest artists in the classical world, including cellists Alexander Chaushian and Vagram Saradjian, violinists Lydia Mordkovich, Nicola Loud, and Jack Liebeck, and renowned singers like Asmik Grigorian, Gegham Grigorian, and Hasmik Papian. Anna’s ability to blend seamlessly with other musicians has made her a sought-after partner in chamber music, enriching the performances she takes part in.
Beyond her performances, Anna remains deeply committed to the global music community. As an International Advisor for Canada with the Piano World Academy, she continues to inspire and mentor the next generation of musicians, sharing her wisdom and passion for music with aspiring pianists worldwide.
