“If Babajanyan heard you play his Poem, he would never perform it again himself,” said composer Eduard Mirzoyan.

“This was not written by Mozart—it must have been written by someone from your own town of Spitak especially for you. Such an interpretation was absolutely perfect,” said Vladimir Krainev after hearing her performance of Mozart’s Variations.

Anahit Dilbaryan is a laureate of international competitions, recipient of the Presidential Prize of the Republic of Armenia, pianist of the contemporary ensemble Asonance, and of the ENAD Duo. She has been awarded the Arno Babajanyan Memorial Medal for her contribution to the preservation and promotion of his works.

Her musical talent was evident from the age of two. At six, she began studies at the Spitak Music School under El. Grigoryan later continued at the Yerevan Specialized Music School after Alexander Spendiaryan in the class of Prof. Sergey Kechek from the age of nine. She graduated from the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, where she refined her artistry as a soloist, accompanist, and lecturer, also studying in the class of Prof. Armen Babakhanian.

Dilbaryan has won numerous medals and prizes, performing on stages worldwide. She has been a member of the Vladimir Spivakov International Foundation, the New Names, and the international YerazArt initiative. She has participated in festivals and projects across Armenia, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Austria, Italy, France, Belgium, Scotland, Luxembourg, and many other countries.

Her repertoire is remarkably diverse, spanning almost all musical genres, with a special emphasis on contemporary music. Passionate about innovation, she constantly seeks the interpretive “key” that reveals the essence of every composition. Many works have been dedicated to her, with several world premieres performed under her interpretation. She has appeared with various orchestras, including performances of pieces written especially for her.

With the Armenian National Radio’s Estrada-Symphonic Orchestra, she recorded Arno Babajanyan’s Nocturne, which was included in the Public Radio’s Golden Fund under the artistic direction of People’s Artist of Armenia, Yervand Yerznkyan.

As an accompanist, she was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by the Ministry of Culture in 2012 for representing Armenia at the Eurovision for Classical Musicians competition. She has received numerous diplomas and acknowledgments for her artistic contributions. In 2024, she won the Best Accompanist Award at the Little Step competition. In 2025, she was honored with the Mayor’s Memorial Medal in Ashtarak for her talent, dedication, and creative work in advancing the art of music.

Dilbaryan has frequently been invited to serve on juries at international competitions. Her contribution as a pedagogue and lecturer is equally significant — her students consistently achieve outstanding results, winning top prizes at competitions worldwide. She has been recognized internationally by the World Classical Music Awards as one of the Best Music Teachers in the United States.
